All I need is to place a retail lot on the island and use it as a vacation home instead of a business.
I don't want my sims to live there; only to vacation there. It will be a vacation home. I hope they at least allow that.
You could build a vacation house on generic lot and others sims won't move in and your sims can go there any time.
But a generic lot won't take your household money. If you want to be more realistic and spend money on a vacation home as I do.- Karamazov1236 years agoSeasoned Hotshot

Now that we know it's a residential world, especially no. Who wants to spend time on hotels when we getting mermaids, jet-skis, and DOLPHINS? I mean, come on people. DOLPHINS.
Not all sims will be living there. I know that I'll have some of my sims treating their visit like a vacation. A hotel would help sell the deal for me, even if it's not technically a "real" vacation. But as I said before, I don't strictly need a "real" hotel for that, when I could make my own hotel lot. - i never really care about hotels specially what they did to apartments i don't really want them

I would. If I reinstall my game to buy this pack, I would still keep my Sims in WB where they live in a lot I worked really hard on since I was sick at the time and they can't move because of it. :D I put in a lot of work for them in that house. I would want them to visit this world and stay a few days. Others I had may live there but not them. And since they were my main characters, yeah, they would need a hotel. And room service, and maid service and they are snobs so yes, they would need full service and beach umbrellas, and a massage, and tea at four, and some cigars and drinks after dinner on the veranda of the hotel. :D"Gordy;c-17097289" wrote:

I uploaded a roadside motel I built a long time ago, maybe you can use it and redecorate it to look more island worthy. It has rooms for an over night stay or two. And townie Sims would stop in and use the TVs or whatever I put in the rooms, I guess it would work for make believe. But remember it was decorated to be a roadside inn out in the desert. :D ETA: It's a clean copy I never uploaded used lots that I tested but saved a fresh one, then put a clean one on gallery."Dannydanbo;c-17097060" wrote:

No, but for now, this is as close as we can get. I intend to make do until there is a way to do what I want. I won't let this simple thing keep me from enjoying the rest of the pack.
I mean I prefer to use a retail lot cause it takes money from the household. Not a deal breaker at all to me. I've pre ordered the pack right away. It has too much stuff that fits my gameplay - I've made hotels, I just use it as a restaurant. Then they go upstairs to their room for the night.

Well you could always save the house to your library and then move the house to the new world - problem solved.- JemmaTheSimmer6 years agoNew SpectatorIf it was a vacation world, I would be a bit disappointed, though not a complete dealbreaker. However as a residential world, hotels don't make sense here. Sulani is no more a vacation-like destination than Windenburg, San Myshuno, Del Sol Valley or most worlds really. Just because it is tropical, doesn't make it a vacation, going anywhere can be! If anything I'm glad hotels aren't in this pack - whilst I would LOVE them for other vacation worlds, it doesn't make sense here and we would loose something else if we had them, so I'm glad they're not taking the place of another feature.
