If we have brooms, can we please Sweep?

The fact that this wasn't implemented in gameplay is really baffling.

We should be able to do that. If not with RoM then at least with Bust the Dust kit.

Mind boggling indeed since living off the grid is a very popular feature and has been promoted via several packs now.

Season’s “rake leaves” or “shovel show” animations couldn’t really be used for this as that would be one strange way of sweeping a floor thus for a sim to use a broom would require a brand new animation. Fair enough, however, the fact that no bio fuel or battery/solar powered vacuum cleaner for off the grid living was shipped with BtD seems like a rather peculiar oversight.

Isn't there already a sweeping animation in TS4? Back when I used to play the detective career a lot (several Sims) the houses that were vandalized were not cleaned up if they were vacant or if I moved a family out. I could see the stuff all over the yard from the neighborhood etc. I moved in a Sim into one of the houses and there were dirt piles all through the house in one of those houses. I could have sworn she had to sweep up the dirt piles instead of me just clicking on them. It was one of the small houses in WC . I never thought anything about it, I thought that is how it was supposed to work aka left over stuff from the vandals in and outside and if we moved in a Sim after that, they had to clean up the place with a broom inside.

In my signature is the link to a mod from Zero that enables cleaning the dust off the grid via the mop and he links to an override to make the mop a broom if you’re interested.

It makes absolutely no sense to me that EA didn't include brooms in the Bust the Dust kit. We can use a mop and vacuums, but not brooms? It's just weird and unrealistic.

I wish we could sweep the floor with a regular old broom.

Agree, it is so annoying with off the grid houses brooms are definitely needed!

I was just thinking of this yesterday whilst playing, why do we have vacuums and not brooms? Even a cute feather duster would be neat.

That being said, it should be a "bust the dust" only update. I tired of features from packs we paid money for being added as basegame.
