If You're Experiencing a Broken Save

I have 14 saves and they're all broke. :'( Guess I'm waiting for another patch since I've lost the heart to start again. Some of those save set ups took me 16+ hours.

No CC or mods either and never have so I'm not sure how this is deciding who to break saves for.

New game does work, and I did jump in check out the makeup. I'm hoping they fix this fast because I do have a couple of sims I'd like to put some of these on!

My saves were fine. Only one the screen flickered for maybe 2 seconds then all was fine. My main one wasn't affected at all.

This is so scary!! My saves are too precious. I'm way too terrified to update ????

Yeah, I really wish I'd checked twitter before I updated. :'(

It's not everyone though, so I don't know how you would know who is safe and who isn't? It seems to be affecting mac, console and PC, yet so many are unaffected? Depends how much you want the patch I guess if it's worth the risk and if you're ok with playing a new save in the meantime?

I'm not at home so I can't test - but do affected players perhaps share technical components like AMD/Nvidia processors/graphics cards?

I have a Nvidia GeForce 970
IntelCore(R)(TM) i7-6700K CPU@ 4Ghz

I have also never had crashing problems since I use Intel/Nvidia. With my former ATI (today AMD) card I could only start TS in window mode.

Edit: people on the other thread also report the bug with Intel/Nvidia.

No issues for me here.

I backed everything up, so I should be fine.

Me too. It's not that at all. I've taken my saves out and put them back in and you press play and they crash. :/
