Anyone else think this is weird? I don't think vampires should get sick considering they are immortal.
I've noticed this too, and I've always thought it was odd. Because not only are they immortal, they're also undead.- keekee53New SpectatorLOL YES!! They are also undead. I know this is a minor issue but I think it still needs to be changed. I feel like my vamps are sick more than my normal sims.

True but I have yet to hear any vampire lore where a vampire got a human illness. If they coded in immortality for those with the vampire trait, I think they could have done the same with illness. - I find it strange too. Vampires in fiction pretty much never get sick. If they're the undead type, it's because...well, they're undead. If they're the living type, it's because they have a much stronger immune system than normal humans (which they would need if they feed on blood...which hasn't always been the most sanitary of bodily fluids with the amount of pathogens and parasites that can survive in it...). I mean, at the very least, illness for vampires should be extremely rare...
- It should exist at all, Look at Lestat he and louis in the middle of the black plague, they were immune.
- Unless it's like some supernatural plague or something, Vampires shouldn't get sick at all.

I think exactly what a vampire can and can't do is always up in the air. Whenever I write about vampires, I always have it so that they can get some minor illnesses, like a cold, but nothing deadly or permanent. Then again, I also always have my vampires needing to eat normal human food along with occasional blood, and completely able to get a sun tan without dying a slow death (Hey, Dracula could go out in the daylight in the original novel, so why not?) Anyway, to me it makes sense that a vampire can get illnesses in this game. The illnesses are minor, eventually go away, and make for a good laugh (at least for me). But, I understand why many people disagree.- neylajcSeasoned NewcomerI have a vampire working in the hospital in my game. No reaction from other Sims. He even feeds on his patients sometimes. My Sim (who also works there) is the only one that notices he's a vamp and gets mad at him.
I'm gonna see what happens when a vampire comes for a check up. - Magdaleena96Seasoned NewcomerCan't say I have a particularly strong opinion on this subject, it's more like "how did they forget about this".
It did seem kinda weird for them to be affected by illnesses at all, though. My boy got poisoned in the jungle once. That was weird. These guys are undead, immortal beings, why should illnesses bug them at all?
