What feature(s) of the game do you never use and why? I had never had a roommate before because I heard they were buggy but today i decided to have my sim get roommates and the results are interesting...

Clubs. It annoyed me how often I needed to get together with them when I had other things to do. I also never run businesses or restaurants - I was never good at it.
I don’t ever actually start club events. I simply use clubs as a way to organize family members. Once my Sim gets married or has a kid, I add the spouse and the child into the family name club. If they ever add a feature that organizes family members in the relationships pane I will never need to use clubs at all again.
