I have been playing sims 4 no problems. Then in game I could not save so lost all play time. When I went back in to play the next day I thought I must have forgotten to save. But it did it again and again. I looked online to see what I could do. I tried but I DON"T KNOW WHAT I"M DOING !!!!And I don't know what I did but when I opened the game again everything was gone. Saved games, sims, houses. It welcomed me to game and introduced all my packs. Ok, I cried but accepted it. So now I'm starting a new save with a scenario. I'm going along when I notice its gone. I quit to repair to see if that helped, nope. I tried playing again but again I can't save. After repair again I go back in and I can't do anything. It opens the origin page but won't respond to anything. I can't open game, do repair, close down origin, nothing. I had to force close.

Many people would like to help. You need to be more specific though for anyone to be able to try and help. :)

It's probably the Error Code 0.OP, try doing a Save As instead of the regular save and see if you can save your game that way, some players have had success with Save As. As for the lost saves, did your save folder accidentally get moved from the Documents/ElectronicArts/TheSims4 folder? If it did it may be outside the game folder and the game will have made a new blank save folder, that could cause your game saves to not appear. Edited for failure to proofread. lol

I'm wondering if turning on auto save from MC Command Center can help alleviate issues caused by the Error Code 0 error. Also, try the Save As function as others suggested, plus the link JaiSea provided can help.

It was the error code o. I couldn't do a save as because nothing was working. I couldn't even turn the game off. I had to force quit. I did a virus sweep on my computer and shut my computer off and reopened it. and online someone said to turn off get a job in neighborhood thing, so I did. I went back into game and origin worked I can play now and so far its saving ok. I don't know what of everything I did worked But I'm happy it did.

Yes this has worked for me.

Although I’ve disabled leave a career as well. I don’t want too many unemployed Sims. Hopefully they will fix it. Also tune the frequency. My Sims were joining and then leaving careers at rapid pace.

@Behappy1st I'm glad that worked for you. I had been using Join New Career in Neighborhood Stories, too...but I just went in and turned it off. It's a shame, because I was enjoying it. I chuckled when it directed Sims who had established careers to quit and take jobs as baristas and lifeguards, but in my headcanon they decided to simplify their lives, step back from hectic, fast-paced careers, and take life slower. Other Sims bounced from one entry-level job to another. I know people like that in real life.

After all, a Sim can earn piles of cash by painting and gardening. :wink:

No ,but I've been wanting to thin it out for a while but couldn't decide who and what goes. I could never find a sim or house i was looking for in my library. So I guess a decision was made for me. Painful, but what needed to be done.

I know that pain @Behappy1st I had the same 3 saves since The Sims 4 was released. My challenges save, my rotational save, and my sim self save. I guess it was 7 years worth of gameplay and I lost them all last year, having to start over. I told myself from now on I will back up always... I still haven't.
