I also don't have empty fairs and such in Sims 3. The power of your computer has a lot to do with that. Desk top definitely made a difference in Sims 3 and a top of the line gaming desktop mattered big time. That isn't quite as important in Sims 4 as it was Sims 3. Totally different system and engines with Sims 3 having better technology keeps some of those factors less important as they were in earlier sims games.
Then I hope my new computer can handle the next Sims game, or I’m just quitting Sims.
What I’m hoping for is them to implement their stuff properly. My own three friends who have also played sims (but are not forum people) struggled with Sims 3 as well. But all of us had very little trouble in the tech department with other PC games like we did with Sims 3. Something about Sims 3 just... seemed moody. Sims 4 has some moodiness as well, so I’m not bashing just Sims 3.
Sims 3 is less buggy than Sims 4 right now, I feel like, so that’s good. :) (I just need mods to clean up those stuck Sims and cars and turn off radios/TVs whatever. And to control Story Progression.)
Sims 3 still works to this day (I tried it yesterday), and I do like it (not love), but I’m still upset I have to do mods and cheats to get those festival and business lots populated with more one or two townies.
(And I tested again, and my game did work fine with a decent amount of additional Sims that I pushed into those lots. So my computer’s power is not being taken fully advantage of, I guess? Something about Sims 3 seems moody to me. Same goes for some people and Sims 4.)
