I don't understand. If this really was just a test run, then it should really not be a problem at all to take it out after the reactions they got. I also second @CAPTAIN_NXR7 plea for an adult explanation of why they have to keep it. I mean they probably did not sell their souls to the devil in return so there should be room for some decent transparent explanation.
