"Inappropriate" behavior

I have a cooking club where one of our functions are to cook food. One of my club members invited me to his house. I directed my sim to cook something, and I was soon yelled at and got an inappropriate behavior notification. How is this inappropriate if the whole purpose of the club is to cook food at eachother's house?

I can understand if some stranger off the street walked into your house and started cooking, but if you have a cooking club, friends, or family, shouldn't there be exceptions?

  • All Maxis need to do is get your Sim to question the property owner "ask permission to cook" and that would get round the issue. Would that be possible? It's only manners isn't it - in his house? :)

That might solve it. But I liked it the way it was when the game first came out. I'm their god. This series is a god game to me. If I want some of my subjects to use the house down the street then I should be allowd to do it. I'm god of the game. If I want my Sim to use their friend's stove so be it.
