I don't think "too fast" in the word, it's a bit like people putting toddlers to sleep at midnight then complaining that toddler beds don't give enough energy. My brother in christ, your toddler is supposed to sleep for 12 hours a day, this is working as intended, put the babe to sleep earlier.
Similarly, infants are not supposed to be awake for hours on end, and need about 4 feedings a day. I even find the sims generous, you can get away with 3. I don't know what everyone expected from infant gameplay ? A 9 to 5 schedule ?
