Title says it all, really. I was just wondering if I'm alone in my frustrations or if anyone is having the same problems. At first I was really excited about its inclusion and the possibilities, especially after that trait update a while back, but....Not only does it feel like it's lacking in depth with just completely random moodlets (Maybe it was silly of me, but I thought my high maintenance single college-going mom sim that's barely scraping by and has a wild toddler and is currently living off of mostly quick meals would have plenty to be stressed about, aside from randomly getting upset for hours about getting her behind splashed with toilet water) but I think my biggest gripe so far is the completely random "WORST DAY EVER" moodlet. I've had my same sim die from cardiac explosion three times now because someone thought it was a good idea to have a random +5 angry moodlet that lasts for 8 hours I can't seem to do anything about 😭 other than try and bury it in positive moodlets. Calming her down at a mirror, cold showers, none of it is doing anything to even ease the moodlet a little and make it last a shorter amount of time, and I can't tell if that's a bug/oversight or meant to be a feature. :/I feel like this would be one thing if it was actually triggered by something. The first time it happened her house was super dirty and her toddler was throwing a tantrum and her stove broke, so I thought that was it and it would have been a welcome challenge in that case if more could actually be done to counter it. But now that she's died twice in a spotless home after perfectly lovely mornings? I'm tired. 🥺 Sorry for the short rant, I was just so excited! And I want more challenge in the game and that's why I was excited, but this just feels excessive. Am I alone in feeling like this, or are others disappointed/having their own misadventures with the trait?

I am not particularly disappointed because I saw some of the early feedback and formed my expectations from it. I dare say it works as a "melodramatic" trait as well, except it is a type of maintenance since it can be abaited by wellness in particular.*shrug* I can get your annoyance with the emotion deaths, but I have taken it to be more a challenge trait than necessarily a personality one and the situation you mentioned seems to be fairly challenging as it is. So I am not 100% what you wanted. You have a Sim that now struggles because even basic actions can give it bad moodlets and have it in a stressful situation on top of that. Did you want it to compound issues, because it kind of sounds like it did with all those emotion deaths.

But if my sim can't do anything to calm down, and if a bunch of positive moodlets aren't necessarily enough to fix it (she died last time after I got her feeling confident, like a good hour in game later), and there's nothing to fix or improve to make her feel better and avoid dying, it starts feeling less like a challenge and more like my sim is just doomed, y'know? (which I'd maybe just roll with if I hadn't made her specifically to play around with the new update. A trait that's just a waiting death sentence doesn't sound fun though.)Other than that though, I could probably live with everything else and enjoy it for what it is, even if I wish there was a little more depth.

you have to use spa stuff it takes care of it and makes it go away it was made for your sims to have a reason to use it you know bath soaks and the like
if you don't like it I think you should pick another trait :) happy simming

I like that trait so far, but I feel exposed a little bit, because I have enough odd dreams and hating the sun too in my life. :D Okay my 1 mm long nails don't bother me. My test sim had hated the sun too, but she did yoga and the anger has melted faster than an ice on a summer day. However she was so excited when she had found her inner balance for a moment, that is also a strong but good buff.
