Is anyone else disappointed with the High Maintenance trait?

I had a male sim age up from teen and gave him the high maintenance trait. We then settled him into an apartment in Myshuno. He got water back splash from going to the bathroom and then the sink broke. I had him repair it and the worst day ever moodlet appeared. He died shortly after of cardiac explosion.
Very annoying.
