Is anyone else excited about the LGBT Pride content coming this month?

Not excited at all, I wish it was optional to don't want it.

I don't really need Pride stuff because my sims accept everyone but I most likely will use the items anyway.

As long as there's also the GLUTTONY PRIDE content or the CHOLERIC PRIDE content or OBESE PRIDE content pack and so on. if we want to be equal with everything...

I'm glad, mostly because this will add a little extra flair to the Pride Day holiday I have in my save. It's a great tradition: on a nice, sunny summer day, my LGBTQ+ sims, and their beloved straight friends and family, gather in the park, spend the day together, dance, laugh, and tell stories about both the good times and hard times in the past, so that the young ones who weren't there can develop a keener sense of history (ahem).

Except her Gender Settings are wrong.
lilsimsie on Twitch showed Lia Hauata in CAS and her settings were as follows.

Psychical frame: Masculine
Clothing Preference: Feminine
This Sim will be able to: Become Pregnant
Can this Sim use the toilet standing: No

Lia is a transgender women, so this means she was born male. She would not be able to become pregnant as she would not have a uterus... This needs to be fixed.

Yeah, but this is the sims. They probably figured out how aliens made it work or something.

@babajayne it's hard to explain because it's not an easy discussion. Because all of us have different feelings. So it's not easy. But the problem here is not if two people love each others or not. It's not a matter of 'feelings'. Because feelings can deceive. And not only LGBT people, but all people indeed. The reason why everyone have their feelings is because they should start from the beginning of humanity. LGBT or anyone else I mentioned above, and people think they are born in a way, they feel what they feel, isn't something they can control, they feel like this and they follow this, right? But the problem is... where came from each passion we feel? It have an origin? We were supposed to have all the infinite different passions we are subjected? Or at the very beginning of the humankind appear on the earth, things were a bit different? Why humans , at a certain space of time in the story of the world, became

@Dannydanbo : I’m curious. What would you have added to represent gay/queer and Asexual, Aromantic, and Trans, etc, culture? (Because LGBTQA is not just “gay”. It’s also got Trans and Ace.)

Some of us LGBT people do like the fact there are Pride celebrations and other celebrations for LGBT. I’m very closeted and live in a very, very divided state, so it’s nice to see some positive affirmation in various places in the U.S.

I personally do not care for the flags or rainbow stuff, but I appreciate what they represent, and I do not mind if people want to wear them or wave flags, etc. It’s a symbol of solidarity and positive affirmation, which some of us needs.

So, I’m not offended by Pride, because I would love to be out of the closet and attend a Pride event one day...

So I feel you’re being a bit angry and rude towards people who do like having items with those symbols and colors. We are a diverse group, and some of us like to express ourselves using those positive symbols and colors.

I would be interested to hear your suggestions of more stuff that can be brought from gay culture. I’m not involved in gay culture because I am so closeted, so I’m curious what kinds of things you think represent gay, queer, genderqueer, and trans, and Ace cultures?

The devs have told us how much time, effort and research goes into packs like City Living to ensure that other cultures are represented honestly and thoughtfully without insulting or being negative in any way yet all we get is a tee shirt with a rainbow flag and a GENDER NEUTRAL door for the toilet? Shame on each and every dev that was a part of this pathetic attempt to "include" us gays in the game. And don't misunderstand, I'll use the clothes because I have gay sims, but to say that those clothes represent our entire gay culture, something that is the biggest part of who we are is stupid and insulting. Do you guys do any research at all on gay culture? Anything? Is a few rainbow clothes and a toilet door what you are trying to pass off as products from extensive research?

I demand that the slacker(s) that came up with these jewels of representation come into this thread and at the very least, attempt to explain to us why you thought this bull was a good idea and why they thought we would be stupid enough to settle for it.

And while I'm spilling the T, as we gays like to say, shame on everyone in this thread that thought this was good enough and are so excited to have gay stuff included in the sims. If this is any indication of how they honor people, then those wanting disabled sims might want to rethink it. It will probably be more insulting than edifying.

Preach for me honey! I agree. Slapping a rainbow on something isn’t going to do much. I love sims inclusivity, but I feel like this is just a way to make themselves look better. Pride isn’t a gay thing. Pride is about celebrating all our differences. I hope we get disabled sims with this, because they aren’t represented in the sims at all. It would be hard to implement, but I believe in them! If we get pride items I just hope they aren’t obnoxious, and are just useful.

I'm going to be truthful.This whole thing to me is pointless.We already can make gay,and lesbians sims.You can even make your sim transgender if you want too.We already represented .So what's the point of this ?The gender-neutral bathroom is also so dumb. Gender netutrual bathrooms are not lgbt .They just mean both genders can go in to them.I hardly see them around in real life in the midwest.They are usually are at potter poties, or single public bathrooms..Im bisexual its just what I'm attracted too.Its not a big hurraw,and it's nothing to celebrate.
