@Sherisims57, MOO might be a factor. I make pretty heavy use of it. Terrain manipulation and platforms are less likely though, considering one of the places I have the problem with is a penthouse apartment that has no platforms (and obviously, no terrain at all, being an apartment).
I haven't tried the trick of sending the lot to the gallery and then putting it back, mainly because where I am having the problem are lots where that's not a small thing to do. One is a retail location with a very full LICE retail refrigerator. I'm fairly certain that anything in those refrigerators is lost if you move something to the gallery. The other is a 3 story penthouse apartment, which can't just be "saved to the gallery" in a single shot.
If I ever have the problem on a normal freaking residential lot I'll most definitely try that though.
Edit: I decided to try something in the apartment, and just keep a plate of food in a sim's inventory and then bulldoze the whole penthouse, to see if it works okay to pack a lunch once I bulldoze. It does.
So, @SheriSims57, I gotta say you are on the right track. There is definitely SOMETHING in the lots where there is a problem which is causing it. Thank you for pointing me at least in a direction to look. :)
Yeah, I have had problems where it ended up being what’s on the lot. Since I don’t use mods, CC and don’t usually use moo. I knew it couldn’t be those things. I’m glad the suggestion helped.
