Is For Rent safe to play if I don't play on a rental lot?

I purchased For Rent, but haven't really been playing it because of the bugs and save corruption. I've been getting the itch to play the Sims 4 again, but I don't want to deal with the save corruption...

The stuck on residential bug is pretty much fixed. I added 5 residential rental units to my game with a grand total of 18. I will see if the save is safe for a few sims weeks before adding more residential rental units.
