Is it a real drag to removed purchased content from TS4 - anyone actually done it?

Actually, can someone just try this and report back?

We need a volunteer who basically has all, or most content, to then remove a piece of content and let us know how they get on. Ideally someone with the Vampire GP.

Do it for the community - for all Simmers - it is an opportunity to make your mark in the Simming community - take one for the team.

That sounds like too much work for what it's worth to be dumping on one person to uninstall and reinstall.

If you want to disable a certain pack (or multiple ones) just go to Origin and right click on the Sims 4. Click on Game Properties then click on advanced launch options.

Then just type in the box where it says 'Command line arguments'

-disablepacks:GP04

to disable the vampire game pack. So no need to uninstall anything.

I found that if you don't interact with vampires at all they don't seem to bother my sims in the least. And if you just go ahead and delete Vlad it basically gets rid of the 'introduction' to vampires and you shouldn't see vampires like at all for any late night visits or just randomly standing at your door. I never bothered to visit Forgotten Hollow so vampires spawning never really triggered.

MCC also has a function where you can just humanize all vampires as well. Bye, bye neck biters~

or you could install a mod preventing vampires from nasty interactions & still use the objects of the pack

you're surely not the only one who doesn't want vampires everywhere
the devs could get the hint to finally give the players options to disable them, cause TS3 had those already
for aliens too ...

lacking things like this is the sand that grinds down the good of TS4 :confused:

If that works, then a billion Simmers are going to pop like sunbathing sausages that are ready to pop.

However, it seems that nothing is uninstalled and nothing is downloaded - so no noticable damage (yet).

When hovering my mouse over the Vampire GP icon it says: 'Restart to use' - instead of saying owned. So it seems the Vampires are banished.

I guess it must have worked - there is nothing in Build/Buy that is vampire related.

Anything to not have another vampire break-in at night a drink from my Sims.

I bet billions of Simmers are going to be using this -disablepacks badboy from now on.

Don't want wet clothes from a stupid dryer then -disablepacks and the problem is gone.

This may even stop some of the stupid outfits in the game too.

When you disable the GP doesn't all the features of the game pack go too?

Recently vampires hardly bother my sims at all - maybe because they keep their bedroom doors locked. My whole town is overrun with vampires that were created by me and then they had kids and grandkids and so forth. Last week I lost two teenage vampire girls because they were part of a club and I did not know they were vampires. My teen sim called a meeting and the kids just stood outside aimlessly and died of sunlight. Since then I don't allow vampires in my non-vampire clubs.

Which also gives me an idea of how to get rid of a lot of them. Have a vampire club and call a meeting in the park during the daytime - vampire genocide. But then grim would take too long to reap them all which would waste game time.

I see the Vamps around town, but if I don't want them contacting me, I just delete Vladdy. So far they don't try to feed on my Sims, but I will reset if I don't want them to. I dunno if that works, but I haven't had to try it yet. I use the Build/Buy all the time, so I want to keep those in my lots.

The disable pack option would be really good to build for the Gallery, tho, to do lots for folks who just have one or two packs.

I just didn't purchase that GP knowing I wasn't even into vampires, at all.
