Is it me or is the Jealousy trait more of a nuisance than anything else..?

I agree. Whenever I play I usually create sims with 2 "positive" traits and 1 "negative" trait just to balance them out a bit. As human beings we're not perfect and we all have our flaws in one way or another, for that reason I don't want to play "perfect" sims either.
