If you do revert the residential rental venue to 'regular' residential, be sure to evict all the households first. Or at the least keep just the owners in (if any) otherwise it becomes a mess.

I've had to do that (revert to regular residential) because of problems in build mode with building unto the current lot while it's residential rentals.
Maybe I can evict all the households or tenants first then bulldoze the lot, is that okay?
@bootsguy the bug is once you have converted the lot to residential rental, it can not be undone, at least in a way that is successful. And it is unclear if that is related to the dreaded save corruption. Hopefully this will be addressed in the new patch this week, but fingers crossed all is solved.
If you want to try to convert it, maybe it works. I had some work arounds for this, was turning the lot generic and dropping a generic or other lot down from the gallery. It usually worked but save corruption occurred so if you really want to change the lot back to a regular residential, the only safe way I know is to resort to the save before you converted it to a a residential rental. Iron Seagul; explains it clearly in this video.https://youtu.be/xeLXpkBQQGo?si=bPU1XGrvyet4sJ1k time stamp 1:42
