Is Jungle Adventures worth it?

I think it's if you like Jungle Temples, this kind of Game Pack doesn't hold a lot of artifacts I would be interested in getting, sort of Useless to me.

the cultural stuff seems cool, although I'm more in it for the adventure.

Give me Greek Temples, Egyptian Pyramids, Arabian Dungeons... anything but Jungles and Deserted Islands and I'm there!

I actually really love it. The jungle ambience is awesome and it has some dangers that really add flavor to the game. As far as visuals, this pack has some of the absolute best. Exploring the jungle is my favorite because of all the beauty and dangers and I love to have my sims risk camping overnight in the wild as they look for treasure and the lost temple. Also, the temple changes so if your sim revisits on another vacation to explore, the layout will be different. There are 5 variations that randomize

The CAS is great for the theme, with new outdoorsy clothes and hair, and an "Indiana Jones" vibe, while the build/buy has some fantastic new Aztec designs as well as some great structures and plants for building your own temple ruins.

Plus, the archaeology skill is pretty cool and the Salvadoradan culture, customs and new dance styles make visiting very immersive. And also....skeletons! <3

I love it a lot. I havent had one complaint with it or the activities yet. I love that each time my Sims go there a new path opens and offers a new place for me to visit. There's even so much more I have yet to discover like new fish to catch and collect. I don't have all the artifacts yet to make curses or blessings...I'm really hoping for the skeleton one for my Sim to become. I'm sure that'll be a lot of laughs for the short duration he'd be that. I think it's very fun. The details in the backgrounds are breath taking (even though the lizards are a bit silly being stationary) Like I said I have nothing bad to say about this pack at all! I'd say certainly give it a go!

It's all relative. For the $20, I did get way more hours of it than, let's say, watching two movies at the theater for the same price.

I do agree that it's very repetitive - inspect trap/trigger trap/go to next room/get treasure. Collections for me really don't count as interesting gameplay.

I love the concept. The only disappointment, in my opinion, is that in Sims 3 World Adventures, I was always surprised with the traps and the way you open door and you never new if you were going to step on a fire or electricity or what you would need to get the doors open. In Sims 4 Jungle, it's pretty basic there is a totem or some sort of "puzzle" but all you do is examine and it's pretty basic. I also loved the wells in Sims 3, which they don't have here. I would say the pack is worth it because it does add game play but I don't think it's as exciting a World Adventures was.

Also, I really wish you could catch exotic animals, not just fish, but like birds or reptiles. I really think that would have been an awesome touch, but that goes more in line with the fact that pets in Sims 4 is way less dense and inclusive than Sims 3 was. I really miss that you could go out and catch a bird, snake, lizard, or turtle.

The world and objects are pretty, (love that!) but if you think this is like World Adventure I think you will be disappointed. Like others have said,repetitious and all you get out of it is collections.

I really like it. I like treasure hunting, stalls, avocados and I like pretty scenery. If you like those things then it's worth it, if that's not what you look for when playing then it's not most likely.

All I can say is that I was very negative towards this until I saw some let's plays. I did buy it this morning.
Basically it seems to be much better done than both it's equivalent in Sims 3 (which I did not regret buying because Martial Arts and all the new plants. I went on vacation once, and that was a horrible horrible experience) as well as the first "holiday pack" for sims 4, which basically was pointless in every way.
