- Kelleygirl8 years agoNew SpectatorFor me, yes. It's added an element of atmosphere that in my opinion, the game needed. It's got me back into playing, and I'm enjoying gardening, heading to different towns to look for sunshine if it's raining in my town, and planning my events or outdoor activities around the weather.
ETA: I paid full price and don't regret it. If it had been on sale, all the better, but this is just about the only hobby I have and it's worth it to me. - xitneverendss8 years agoSeasoned VeteranI stopped playing TS4 for a while right after Pets released but the release of seasons brought me back. I actually really like the pack. The weather and lighting effects are pretty, the holidays are fun, and you can finally plan parties and events in advance at specific times. It's nice to have a sense of time passing and not every day being exactly the same.
Now if only they could work on the emotions and add more careers! - GamingTweety8 years agoSeasoned AceI can say that it's the best expansion so yes it is.
- Cabelle18638 years agoSeasoned AceI'd say so. With almost each pack I'd play for a little while, and then get frustrated and bored and quit playing for months. After the My First Pet debacle (which I didn't buy, and have no plans to) I was feeling like maybe it was time for me to quit the franchise for good. Since Seasons came out, I've been playing every weekend. If it wasn't for my job I'd play more often. The pack is really well done.
- I think it adds a lot of atmosphere to the game and I just love seeing sims react to different weathers!

Is it good?
It's highly subjective, but for me - yes. I buy all there is for my game, for the sake of completeness if nothing else. - Simmerville8 years agoLegendwhat @xitneverendss said!
I was hardly playing the game, but then Seasons added what I was missing. It's more exciting to throw events or visit locations when the season has changed and you do not control the weather. There is a weather forecast, but the seasons can vary a bit from year to year.
And yes, the year passing is perfect when playing on rotation like I do. It's so easy to keep track on aging everyone up on new year's eve :)
PS: If you like to watch some of my "One Year in xxx world" movies - lots of sceneries, each world has unique climate. Link in siggy :) - Like everyone else has said Seasons really adds atmosphere, a sense of time passing, and makes planing event and going out more interesting. My sims recently had a wedding and I originally wanted them to have their wedding at Club Calico in Brindleton Bay but the forecast was thunderstorms all week so I had to go look at other venues and check what the weather could be. Speaking of thunderstorms because it was thunderstorms all week it gave me more reasons to send my sims to other world to enjoy summer especially on Summerfest a holiday I made all about relaxing and having fun outside and thunderstorms don't really mix well with that.
Also like others Seasons really has pulled me back in the game. After pets I didn't care to play (pets aren't my thing) as it didn't really expand on my style of gameplay but seasons really adds to it as it really just adds to life in general. I would consider it the best buy you could get for ts4. - wispye8 years agoRising Vanguardi love it. love the snow and skating it adds so much to your game

The EP does not really enhance gameplay.
This is also highly subjective. Ask a different person and you'll get a different view.
