- I think so.. I looked at some pictures of my game during the first day of spring and the grass was green but everything else was dead? but i've also seen people talking about having brown/dead grass? so idk..
- graventh87 years agoSeasoned AceI thought they fixed that in the last patch?
- It wasn't like that after the patch, after the patch it became much duller than usual. After seasons I see grass like this (see picture) during summer and spring. It looks abnormal and is quite disturbing. It is like this even without mods, in a new game.

Yours looks normal! My grass is certainly wrong. Good to know, thank you for posting a picture."NatKingSim;d-943335" wrote:
Or is it bug? I find it extremely green, it disturbs me.
Here in New England (Maine is where I live) when we finally get Spring the green is very spring green - no other time of the year do we see that particular green. I love the short but beautiful spring green that just bursts out every where - even the new leaves on trees and such have the green bursting affect. Spring in New England doesn't last long - just a couple weeks at most - so many of us enjoy seeing it. It always feel like the world has come to life... especially after our very long months of cold, cold winter.
You may need to reconfigure your video card color scheme if the color is not right."BariSaxy;c-16575487" wrote:

Yes, even if the greenness of the grass is a little exaggerated I appreciate it because it is a stark contrast from the winter before. I think Spring should be bright, green, and flowery. New leave growths are also light green compared to what they look like in the summer. Sadly I don't think that detail was put into this pack, but I haven't analyzed it.
Is that true about Spring in New England? My family is looking into moving there. For many reasons, but for me personally climate is one factor. I have actually watched Weather Channel's temperature readings of the specific town my family is looking into for months now and thought they had Spring weather going well into this month, long after we were hitting the 80s and 90s every single day where I live. Even now, interspersed between some days in the mid 80s and 90s there are significantly cooler days.
I get that the thing there is that winter drags on and on. Where I live it's the opposite. Winter is barely existent and then summer takes over quickly.
Anyway, not to derail the topic. I've noticed the grass is pretty bright green in my game during Spring/Summer. Seeing as I didn't play TS4 before Seasons I have no reference of comparing to see if it's brighter than the base game. EA has never experimented with terrain changes for the seasons before so this is pretty new for them, looks like there are still some bugs to work out. Apparently some people had a glitch where the grass was like the autumn/winter through spring/summer.
Barisaxy - We have long winters - from end of October - Mid May. Spring just starts it seems and summer hits us with a big stick - lol. This week is very much in the 80's and said to be stuck in the upper 80 - 90's maybe higher - with real high humidity.
As for the game they did tinker with the spring grass in the emergency patch Wednesday - I have updated but haven't checked it out yet. Hopefully tonight when it gets cooler in real life."Writin_Reg;c-16575471" wrote:

If you look at the picture that ohmyohmy posted above and compare it to mine, there is a clear difference that means that this is a bug of some sort. My question is more about if your game looks like this (if it suppose to look like this in the game), rather than if there is really green grass somewhere on the planet during spring. I have super green bright grass during summer and spring in my game that contrasts very heavily to dirt, plants and everything else. So bright that it barely has texture.- barisaxy7 years agoRising Ace

Like I added to my post - maybe your color configuration settings on your video card could need adjusting. In my game the green darkens a bit as summer approaches and all the deadish looking plants are fully alive and in bloom. I have my seasons set at 28 days each - so mine may change slower than someone with shorter seasons - but my brown plants come to full color over the first 5 days - the brighter green grass turns a bit darker green over that same time period and stay like that through summer - I have not gotten to fall yet. Real life health/ breathing issues (with heat and high humidity in real life) has not let me play as much as I want to so it will take me forever I think to get to fall at this point. Sorry I can't be more help - I am playing in BB."Writin_Reg;c-16575507" wrote:

Like I added to my post - it seems to be your color configuration settings on your video card may need adjusting. If it was a bug - everyone would have it in most cases.
I don't agree, through the years and the different patches and expansions, I have seen simmers being affected by bugs very differently. I myself, somehow, am seldom affected, but this time I have the (maybe) grass and (certainly) the pinkish lot color bug in Willow Creek. I posted here to get a quick notion if anybody else felt that the grass in their game was abnormally green. I don't really understand if your grass looks like mine, it would be helpful to know. One person has posted a picture and it looks like before the seasons expansion, which to me is a good visual proof that my grass is not normal. Another person says it looks a bit exaggerated in their game, but does it look like mine?
Thank you for the advice on visual settings, I was about to try it, but now I remembered that I saw the grass turning to normal color (like before the expansion pack) when in build mode. So I assume it can't be the settings. To sum it up, I only have the "normal" color when I am in build mode, other times, in both spring and summer the color is the "abnormal" super bright green. I have not yet played with fall and winter.- No one else has posted a picture. The picture you're referring to is just that person's signature and it could've been taken at any time.
My game is in Spring and the grass looks the same color as yours (I'm playing in BB). But it didn't bother me.
