There are a lot of steps to even be able to get to the point of making Ambrosia so to the casual Sim player this is not an easy task to get to. It requires:
* Level 10 Gourmet Cooking
* Level 8-10 Fishing and the the secret fishing pond to try and catch the Angelfish
* Completing the rock collection (which requires dozens of space launches w/ successful missions) which then provides you the "Orchid" you need to cross breed with Pomegranate in order to get the death flower.
* Cross breeding Apple and Cherry tree to create Pomegranate
Plus while I can appreciate those that enjoy the "ghosts"... for me personally, I HATE the ghosts and so want my ability to bring back a dead Sim my own legitimate way via The Book of Life (which is broken right now).
Also keep in mind that Ambrosia that does successfully restore a dead sim to full corporeal form (and not ghost form) returns only as an Elder once again so it does not give the same benefits whatsoever as The Book of Life that restores the Sim from when you first wrote them in the book.
