Is there a cheat to bring a ghost back to life?

If you think about it though it makes sense that it works this way now. We can summon our ancestors ghosts (assuming the tombstones have not been culled) which is what the ghost update is all about. What we don't want is to necessarily bring those ghosts back to life every time, we just need a way to call them and the Book of Life does this now, then we have the option to bring them back to actual life if we want to.

Its clear EA have not thought this through when they set these things up.
