is there a shadowing glitch?

whilst playing the game today i think i found a glitch with the shadowing but i haven't seen anybody else mention it.

it's summer in my game, but all of the shadows from the trees/shrubs are reflecting shadows in the autumn/winter. so the shadows aren't showing the leaves just the branches of the trees. the lighting also looks a little bit flat because not everything that should be casting a shadow is.
has anybody else seen this in their game?
