Do unplayed sims generate a gravestone? Last I checked they only had one if you were there to witness their death or were playing the household at the time. Otherwise they didn't have one."@06Bon06;c-16803944" wrote:
So they generate graves now? Last time I googled it there wouldn't be a grave of you weren't playing the household where the sim died so I was annoyed and stopped playing.
Yes they do now. November 2017 patch brought that feature into the game. If a NPC died, you can go on there home and see their gravestone and urn. Usually they can be find on the corner of the lot but sometimes it can be at random place on the lot. I usually build cementery by collecting NPC gravestones from there house upon their death
Cool, thanks! I stopped playing right after pets but somehow didn't know about this. I think it's time for a cemetery in my game too. Glad to know my sims won't be lost forever if I play with their kids.- fruitsbasket100New Vanguard

Ah ok. Didn't know this. - make a basement and put them in there
- I’m guessing this is only for PC? I’m playing pets on my Xbox, and have lost my urns, but after reading these messages I have hope I might find them. Even though my sim died outside on my plot on what seemed to be even terrain, her urns disappeared when she returned to the netherworld. I logged off the game to see if I could possibly retrieve them and the same thing still happened.
- Update: Sims urns or grave aren’t to be found anywhere. I looked throughout the house and I couldn’t find it, and I went to both graveyards and couldn’t find her grave. I know I could destroy the house house and try to see if I can find it, but idk if I’m willing to do such an extreme thing.
- SimmervilleSeasoned Ace@Kelsie_A Is there any other grave or urn on the lot? I found both of the missing gravestones! It was placed on the exact same position as the existing stone, I had to move the stone I could see, then the other was under it. On the other lot what I thought was 1 urn, was actually 2 urns.
- Can someone help me on this. I had a friend (NPC) die and it keeps saying their light is fading. I can't find their tomb stone or urn anywhere? Where would I locate this in the basic version of the Sims 4 game?

You just need to look around. They can be placed on weird places, even inside another object. I had a urn placed on the same spot as an older urn, so I thought there was only one, until I moved it. Lately I found an urn sunken into the floor, only the top decor thing showing. I suspect that if the foundation under the house is tall, the urn might go invisible down there.
I think the placement of the urns changed with a recent pack or patch, so maybe this is no help to you unless we have the same packs. - So I just have the basic game, no packs. I've done some major constructions with the house. Is it possible it got deleted? Or would it always be on my property?
