Is there a sure fire way to write a best seller?

Is there a sure fire way to write a best seller? My sims keeps writing and publishing books and bringing in too much money without a best seller. I need three for the aspiration. Is there a special genre? Do I only have to sell to publisher or have to self publish? When will the book go best seller, right when I publish or...?

    They do indeed stop coming in once the sim dies because they are attached to the Sim not the family. It works the same way that the pension system does which also stops when the sim attached to it dies. Sometimes depending on when the sim dies you might get one extra payment after they die but then it will stop.

    Yeah it's obvious it would stop after the sim dies but doesn't it stop then after a couple of sim weeks like people said?
