Is there a trick to get customers to buy things? - lock please-

What I have found out is that high Charisma skill really helps you out here.
My sim had maxed out her charisma and every sales interactions always succeeded. Other important thing is your sim's and the target sim's emotions. If both sims are unhappy, no sales interaction will work. At least ring up time is now much shorter than it was before...

I can't ring them up as their not buying anything lol, they're standing around kissing, taking pics and chit chatting like its the park.lol

having employees answer questions and doing retail interactions yourself increases the likelihood of customers making purchases
doing enough interactions to fill a customer's bar should guarantee a purchase from them

So yes, your sim should do more sales interactions. Answer the questions and something else. When about three sales interactions are done, your sim will unlock more, and do more do unlock final set of sales interactions. Confident, angry and tense emotions also give one extra sales interactions.
As your sim does the sales interactions, a bar will appear on the customer. When this bar reaches full, the customer is ready to buy something and waits for your sim to ring them up. Once you get hang of selling, it should be easy.

Yeah their all for sale.I have one or two sims buy something but no one else.And its always the same sims in my store to.Kind of annoying.

Its the Get to Work pack, you can own retail shops.
