Is there a way to change a Sims gender without losing all the outfits and make up?

I have a transgender Sim who is going through a change from a male to female. I wanted to give her some subtle plastic surgery to correct the features more feminine and make the last change... correct the gender to a female. I used the cas.fulleditmode cheat and entered the CAS and changed the gender, but it changed all her outfits and make up to random ones too. Does anyone know is there any way to make them not change on vanilla game? I don't use mods.
It's a huge job to put all the outfits and make up back. I don't even remember them and they all disappear when the gender is changed. :/

Maybe you change her to a feminine frame in CAS?

She's always had a feminine frame and feminine clothing preferece. I just want to finalize her transition. The problem is that because she's still a male in CAS, she does all the male animations. It looks odd because she looks very feminine and then she suddenly sits on a sofa like a man or when she freshens up in front of a mirror she does the pose of showing her arm muscles.

I'm non-binary, and have the same problem in real life sometimes.

I suspect there are some mods that allow a more gradual transition - or, indeed, a swifter switch of the gender toggle without messing things up. Failing that, give her a nice spa day and let her have a makeover, retooling her outfit and makeup. It takes longer, and will never be 100% the same, but from her point of view it's a treat.

Thanks, spa day sounds like a great idea. :)
I will probably do it. I'm just a bit worried that when I change her gender it will create the whole new Sim. I want to make sure that she will still be the same Sim. I don't want any of her skills or her frienships disappear. I don't trust it, because it looks like it may happen. I think I need to test it first.
