Is there a way to check if a sim is pregnant without a pregnancy test?

Pregnancy test isn't working in my game right now, so until I figure that out I was wondering if there were any cheats or tricks to check right away if a sim is pregnant?

I'm doing the 100 baby challenge, so knowing quickly if a try for baby is successful is super helpful, lol.

  • You can check CAS and see if it allows you to edit them or not. Probably easier to tell with cas.fulleditmode turned on.
  • If your sim is pregnant the ‘try for baby’ interaction won’t appear in the social menu.
  • :) Two ways I know. First the “Throw up” option comes up on the toilet. This is in addition to the “Take Pregnancy Test”
Also, if you don’t have MCCC and aging allowed during pregnancy, their age will be static (and I think changes look/colour) in the Simology panel.

I've had more than once where I was certain conception occurred but Try for Baby was still available through the night.

There was at least one time that throwing up was a false alarm. Might have been due to an illness or bad food, but the timing was spot on to make me think a baby was happening. Don't be too certain.

One thing that comes up often as a sign for me is when it is an uncontrolled sim, and she starts thinking about baby rattles, especially as she is feeling like throwing up. But even then I don't take it for granted.
  • When I've decided to leave it to surprise, the mother-to-be almost immediately needs more food and sleep and needs to use the toilet more often. I think that when they reach the second trimester, the game announces that she is 'eating for two', so it isn't a mystery for long.

There might be a waiting period between TFB and when the first pregnancy moodlet appears that the interaction is still available, but as soon as the pregnant sim receives the first pregnancy based moodlet that interaction will not show up until after they have the kid(s).
  • Maybe if your sim is throwing up after woohoo it means they're pregnant. Morning sickness moodlet also means they're pregnant. Otherwise the game will tell you after a little while. Best bet is to just have them try for baby over and over again until someone starts throwing up. lol
  • If the sim is pregnant, the decaying rate of bladder and hunger will be doubled. You can measure it from two arrow on bladder and hunger bar (on normal sim, only one arrow will be shown). This sign of sims pregnancy shows up minutes after try for baby, even without pregnancy test and pregnancy notification .
  • I’ve noticed pregnant sims get the thought bubble with the bottle or rattle in it a few minutes after “try for baby” woohoo interaction..and sometimes nausea reaction comes along with it. That’s what I look for if I try to get NPC’s pregnant.
