Is there a way to stop randomisation of non-played Sims outfits?

I sometimes like to create Sims I don’t intend to play just to add flavour to my neighbourhoods, or to replace important NPC’s such as the sages in Realm of Magic.

Annoyingly, the game will sometimes randomise their outfits when I put them into “other households”.

I was hoping someone might know a way to stop this so they keep their outfits?

I’m sure I read a while ago there was a hidden trait you can add or something to stop this but I can’t remember what to search for.

  • I think they should keep the outfits you gave them in manage households unless they are wearing a work outfit or some special vendor outfit or something like that. Did you give them at least one outfit in each category? And get rid of any other outfits that were randomly generated outfits in the different categories? Sometimes there there is a bug that gives them random outfits, Bugs have even given played sims (when you are rotated to another family ) strange outfits.
  • Yeah, I hadn't heard of this except for obvious reasons. Like the Sessions shirts, work outfits (which can be pretty stupid), festival attire, etc.
  • I wish there was a way to stop the tourist situations outfits appearing on sims, it's so annoying. :s
  • You can disable most of the situational outfits in the game with MC Command Center.

This is the issue, the Sims will have all outfits prepared, they will be played for a while then when they’re marked unplaced they will turn up with random outfits. Did they ever fix it?

This is good to know! Unfortunately I’m on console so can’t use mods :'(
