Is there a way to stop the seasons decorations from automatically spawning?

Also edit your holidays. Where it says theme in the upper right corner of the calendar window, select none. You will have to do this before the holiday starts because they aren't editable once in progress.

ETA: once you do this one time, it will remain that way every seasonal cycle for the remainder of your save unless you change is manually.
