Is there a way to turn off those annoying NAPs?

Am finding those things to be of no positive value whatsoever, rather an annoyance that makes playing the game more difficult. At best they are stupid and useless (like wearing paper bags). Is there...

I personally find the free love and sharing is caring most annoying of them all. I very much dislike both.
