Is there any gameplay value to a museum?

I have been checking out my EA-placed museums, and they just seem to have a few paintings and sculptures that you can "view". Is there some advantage to having them or visiting them? Has anyone done...

My artist Sims always want to go there, but I can never get them inspired once I'm there.
