Is there any gameplay value to a museum?
I have been checking out my EA-placed museums, and they just seem to have a few paintings and sculptures that you can "view". Is there some advantage to having them or visiting them? Has anyone done...

I stocked one of the museums with all(many) the collectables and am working on adding all the different paintings . That way I can save all the collections for future sims. I hate that when having finished a collection and I no longer play that family the collection is gone. This way different sims can contribute to the museum .
