Is there any way to appease the gnomes?

No, I don't bother trying to appease them anymore. I kick them and be done with it. The thought of removing the tradition from the holiday hadn't occurred to me. It was cute the first few times, but now I find them to be a real pain in the backside.

If you don't like the seed packets everywhere, put the gnomes in the yard and build a very small fence around them...extra seed ends up in your home inventory, instead of all over your property. The packets make for a nice "savings account" when you are tight on finances. :)

I've had luck giving some coffee.

I usually go by the type of gnome. The business one gets the coffee as does the one that is holding his beard up. The one dressed in a box gets the pie or a toy, the ghost gets a toy. Most of the time it works out.

I usually ignore them until the day after. Then the only option they show is "View", that's when I go to construction mode and sell the little devils. Didn't know I can delete the gnome tradition from anticipated holidays, will sure try that out. Well, except the surprise holidays, but heck yeah!

I always use the cake... it works most of the time.

I have had some gnome-issues as of recently, lol.

In the beginning of the week, all is fine and everyone is happy.

End of the week. Neither one of the parents can get the gnomes happy, the only thing they get for their troubles is lightning. There is trash everywhere, Patchy has been a champ through all of this. Paolo came by really angry. The main sim is a vampire and he accidentally turned one of his very good friends, Paolo, into a vampire. Sorry Paolo, I got risky vampirism via a mob. We are know trying to figure out a good way to support the friend through his new altered state. Note to self, start fishing more.

Kiddo has been great with all of this, as long as he has mom, dad and the fur-ball everything is good.

Lol, I ended up *cheating* and finding a post somewhere ( sorry I don't recall where) but it listed the different right ones for each of the gnomes, I was getting worried my sim could die from being electrocuted so much from trying to plead for forgiveness, including all of the broken items and mess lol

A lot of them like coffee I noticed and some that didn't, liked toys - like the toy car and kitty and such.
