People are seriously exaggerating how bad the game really is. The game is actually quite fun and enjoyable (at least I think so). Are there features and content that the game seems to be 'lacking'? Of course... but the game certainly isn't as bad as a lot of people seem to be claiming. I've seen/heard some suggest that Sims 2 or even Sims 1 is "better" than Sims 4... that's definitely an exaggeration. The Sims 4 literally has beyond improved graphics, improved build/buy mode, and improved create a sim mode (compared to Sims 1, 2, and even 3). Not to mention that the game actually has many NEW features (like multi-tasking, emotions, skills with more depth, etc). To suggest that Sims 1 or Sims 2 was 'better' is a major exaggeration.The open world and create a style features from Sims 3 caused many people's games to lag. EA was simply trying to be sure that The Sims 4 would work on almost anybody's computer/laptop. I wish people would understand that this is WHY these features were removed. The Sims simply wasn't (and probably still isn't) ready for open world. And if you're going to respond with "well they could have done it differently" or whatever, don't... if you think programming a game is so easy, why don't YOU do it?

Believe it or not! I actually like The Sims 4! To be honest its my favourite out of the whole 4! Don't start jumping on me now please.

I don't hate the game. Even if I think some things could be improved, I still like it in general.

That's how I feel about it. Like I said, there are things in the game that could be improved, but that certainly doesn't make the game "bad" in anyway. I still wish toddlers would come back though... and hopefully through a patch (like previous missing features) and not a DLC or expansion pack.

People are individuals, so that means their opinions are going to vary widely. The game is fun and enjoyable for you. I'm kind of iffy with it right now. There are some features I enjoy, but others that bore me. So I don't hate TS4, but I don't necessarily like it either. There are others who do not like the game at all, and do not enjoy it.

No one's opinions are right, and none are wrong. They are opinions. They are right for the person who holds the opinion. And it's not at all appropriate to put down someone else's opinion as "exaggerations." You wish "people would understand that this is WHY these features were removed." I wish people would attempt a little more respect of opinions that don't line up with theirs. Perhaps then there would be a little more mutual understanding, more "agree to disagree" and a whole lot less of disrespectful threads where people crow about how their opinion is superior and others are road apples.

I like the Sims 4 just fine.
I spend more time creating sims than actually playing but then again that has been the norm for me in all the Sims games. :)

And there are "lovers" who claim all criticism is an exaggerated bandwagon and that those who didn't like it are saying so out of spite. Disrespect is disrespect, dismissal is dismissal. It's pretty clear on the forum which is which most of the time. Tbh the OP seems a bit too confrontational to have a very successful discussion but good luck.
