Mine will too but they never charge well enough if they don't use their coffins very much - especially for daytime rest. Especially if they mostly live off of plasma fruit - they often weaken easier and stay thirsty all the time. Even the blood users seem to weaken easier unless they use the coffins. I make mine use their coffins for all day time sleep - at least twice a sims week. Vllad uses his almost all the time in my games.
