Is there such a thing as too many babies?

my settings are low I haven't seen many kids I went looking after it seemed every other day random women..or men were popping I have it set not to cull relationships...at least I think and noticed one sim forgot a baby mama but of course remembered his son and the woman he'd been cheating on her with so he has both kids and the other woman in his house..Vlad has two baby mamas but that's not his fault I didn't check before I set him up with someone. About then I was checking and would see that Katrina had bounced around outliving her husbands she seems settled now and one of her daughters is living with her family and another..that is mccc went crazy with my unplayed sims a lot of the other sims seemed satisfied with what they had though with that many kids maybe a few need to be culled off the top..but I' like simple solutions. >:)
