Is this a glitch involving the freelance career?

I had my sim quit her job, she was an artist in the freelance career. What was going on was she was to paint (on the pad) something she thought the client would like. But when it came to talk to the client, the action would just drop immediately, and no matter how many times I would try, it would just drop. I even canceled the job, and attempted to do it again, but the action was the same. Is that a glitch, or is there something else going one that I just didn't figure out? I am willing to have my sim try this career again, if I can figure out what is going on. Before any ask, I am not playing with any mods or cc, and haven't for a while.

  • I played it a few times (when I rotated back to them) and I thought you had to talk to the client first to hear what they like??), then paint? then submit?

Maybe replace the sketchpad or repair the game and maybe that will help.

If not, then maybe this "bump" will draw in someone that would know :D

    This link might help? https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/958986/new-freelancer-career-completely-broken
  • I'm playing this now and I've not had any problems. After getting a "gig" I always have to go to the computer and do some type of work(depending on the gig), then I can paint what they are asking for 1/2/3 paintings..after that I submit them for approval, if they are the quality they want they are accepted(helps being inspired), if not I have to click on the work in my inventory and make it better, then submit it again and if it's good enough they will accept it..repeat till paid
  • I’ve heard all different things; for some people it’s worked while for others it hasn’t.
