It's long been irksome that pretty much ALL games look nothing like their trailers. Cyberpunk 2077 may be the first one that actually does. It's a bit of misleading advertising that I think most of us are used to by now.
I'd hold off on the exaltation of our Lords and Saviors CDPR. While they were no doubt anointed by the Almighty to lead the gamerverse to a golden age of purity, it should be noted that the general consensus is that Cyberpunk2077 is a troublesome mess of bugs and mediocrity. It seems more like the studio was a one-hit-wonder that may be destined for a Valve-esque future in DRM.
If you'd read my earlier comment you'd know I wasn't hailing Cyberpunk as anything at all. That said, visually it IS beautiful. How it plays is another matter entirely but in graphics it actually looks like its trailers.
Well then as someone who has not read the canon of your works, I wonder aloud, and perhaps inappropriately, if the visual presentation of a video game hold primacy over the interactive experience of the work. I wonder if this, with apposite humility, is placing the proverbial cart before the horse, and if we are putting to great an emphasis on visual splendor. Of course, you alone will determine this, and I await your verdict.
LOL I am appropriately chastened for offering my views. And yet you ask for more so of course I must oblige. It is misleading to create trailers that look nothing like the actual gameplay. But players long ago got wise to that and, I think, stopped expecting games to look anything like their trailers long ago. So Cyberpunk is actually pretty refreshing in that regard. Does that make it a successful game or even a good one? Of course not. That's down to the gameplay and how fast they get the bugs fixed. And I'm in no position to speculate on that.
I chastened you not. I asked for your decisive opinion, and you have given it. So it is written, so it shall be done.
Just have to comment that the way this conversation is worded made me smile. It fit the sims in your pictures perfectly.
