I strongly disagree. Shallow is what you make it. Not like Sims was super deep or had great game play either; but people told stories that gave the game depth. The point of the game is to create sims and stories how you want it or otherwise it would be an RPG.
Agree to disagree then. During the Sims 3 days there was NEVER this much disappointment about releases. I think the Katy Perry sweet treats was one most people disliked the most. If you look at reviews for the Sims 3 packs (LGR, among others) you'll see more positive things. Simply because there was more to be done in those games.
I'd argue shallow isn't what you make it, but shallow is a matter of what you can do with the tools/objects and things supplied and for the Sims 4 that's significantly less.
It has always been a disappointment which is why I don't understand. Can't do anything, buggy worlds, sims that just stand there, etc...Can't even play the game and when you can, it's boring. It was a complete downgrade to Sims 2.
Funny and people were complaining about it until now. I remember trying to play and defend Sims 3 until I couldn't look past it.
You can do a lot of things with tools. There are pool, terrain, roofs, etc...so you can't recolor objects and all that, but would hardly call recoloring deep.
I been playing my sims 3,and sims 4.There is lot to do in 3.Up careers, create families, dive play in weather.Sims 3 to me has more depth. The sims are more different, and feel alive. My sims brought home friends from school.
My sims family actually care .When there sim family member died.In sims 4 if my sims family died. They hardly care.My sims are always happy.Hardly anything bad happens in this game. Vs in 3 bad things could happen burgurlers.
