Isn't it funny....

That when the weather is hot your sims are uncomfortably hot when they're in their underwear, but feel much better when they put more clothes on? Makes sense, yeah? "Oh, no, I can't stand the heat, better put a dress on! Ahh, much better". Sims logic, ladies and gentlemen!

Being in your smalls doesn't help when it comes to sweating and you need something to absorb the sweat as well rather than have it trickle down your sides like a waterfall. an hour later and your armpits are so sweaty and starting to smell that it would be a sweet relief to clean the area up after lifting the arms up to check, not to mention your seat and the smalls you are wearirng are starting to get drenched in sweat.

Not sure anyone would be comfortable under such a condition.

As an Australian and living in a country where it frequently hits 45°C (113°F), having no top on is glorious. Even that thin piece of fabric can make it feel twice as hot. Walking around in your underwear is the only way to survive Summer here.

I live in Singapore, which is a bit similar to Australia but I would never walk around like that in my underwear. XD

And requiring daily showering. imagining water bills out there are insane?

Why do you make it seem like showering isn't supposed to be daily? I shower twice a day... ???

showering more than once day seems excessive, but i don't live in a part of the world that never drops below 30'c, so i probably don't know what i'm talking about.

Hehehe, honestly, I can't imagine showering once a day (and it's not even cuz of the climate here), but maybe cuz I just grew up practicing that. It just makes sense for me to shower in the morning to get ready for work/school and then at the end of the day when you get home, to shower again to clean yourself from all the dirt you collected outside. :D

Kinda like brushing your teeth... it will be weird to go out of the house without brushing them, and also feels a bit odd to sleep without brushing your teeth. ?‍♀️

Yes! Or in their athletic clothing. Swim wear, athletic wear and underwear should all count as hot weather clothing.

Yeah it's weird for sure. One reason why I always have those thermostats and turn them on according to the current temperature, even if it gets expensive. xD

You do have a point of course, still not convinced that putting on more helps though. xD Actually, I think fans as an alternative to those thermostats would be nice. :)

even wearing something light and small can be helpful in reducing the effect of the armpit and absorb sweat. so long as the top can breathe, it should be fine for warm days. you wouldn't be wearing anything really different than if you were wearing smalls anyway, even if it covers a little more skin most of it is still on display.

Desktop fans running in warm air can actually be detrminetal if they aren't powerful enough to push the warm air out. otherwise you'd end up with warm and cold air clashing on your body and start getting a headache from it. a proper ventilation system with a nice airflow stream through the house would probably be better to cool it all down. but those types of cooling solutions in the house will be costly.

True enough, the bills grow enough without the thermostat running, even with the frugal trait it gets ugly. When you eventually have bills that claim more simoleons than you start with I dare not think of what it would be without that trait.

I have them wear swimsuits and such as hot weather, anyway. I don't think the clothes matter so much as the category they're chosen for. I'd have to test that by making sims wear swimsuits (as outerwear) during blizzards, and snowsuits (as hot clothing) during heat waves, though.
  • Another thing that's funny: My sim stole a loudspeaker from a bar, and now messages from other sims are ticking in: "I hear you like to steal stuff, I'm not sure if I want you in my home anymore", something along those lines. Caleb was among those whiners, but what's funny is that only seconds after he gave me that message he invited me to his home to hang out.

Since Seasons is what produced this mess, did it also provide the open windows option? Prior to around 1876 or so, no place had electricity, let alone fans or a/c. It was open up doors and windows and let the breezes flow through.

No, it doesn't matter what you dress them in - it's the category that counts. So go ahead and use swimsuits in winter wear or a big coat in summer wear and they'll be just fine :D

I usually use up all 5 slots in each category for my sims. I have light-ish clothing but with long sleeves, long legs or tights in everyday, meant for Spring and Autumn. Then a range of skimpy stuff for Summer, some barefooted for indoors. Then the outdoor clothing for Winter plus some warm sweater outfits for inside, so I don't have to put the thermostat on or have them sitting inside in coats.
