Isn't it possible now to have social events on Generic lots?

I had a small tv hidden in the church steeple, and I would switch it over from generic to a bar right before a wedding. Then back again. I liked doing a bar since a free bartender showed up. When random people showed up, I would use a mod that lets me switch them to formal wear so they would fit in with the wedding guests.
