For me, Disallow New Customers sometimes seem like it works, but mostly it seems like it doesn't work.

I definitely have the musical chairs problem. I've noticed that having minimal distractions helps with that. I originally was hiring a pianist each day and having one of my sims tend the bar, and that caused A LOT of customers to just stand around. Stopping those two things helped a lot. However, I still have people getting up after they've been seated or when they're drinking their beverage.

My hostess is really efficient, but I wish if you plopped down additional host stands that you could hire more hosts. My restaurant is near 5 stars, so it gets slammed during the dinner rush, and that one poor hostess seems overwhelmed. My waitresses SEEM really efficient, but I've noticed them walk back and forth from the kitchen to the dining room a lot without actually taking orders or delivering any food. My chefs operate just fine.

Sometimes the hostess shows a couple to their table, but they don't actually sit down. They just follow her around some more until they randomly decide they feel like sitting down.

There always seems to be 1-2 tables per night that just don't get served. Tables before them and after them will get served, but somewhere in there at least one table gets neglected. I think their order gets taken, they just never get their food.

Sometimes recommendations don't work for me. I will pick the drink and food to recommend, but my character will reset before she goes to talk to the customer, and it will not let her make the recommendation anymore. The option is still there, but when you click it and bring up the recommendation menu, the check mark is greyed out. This seems to happen when there are other actions in the queue.

In addition to the things already mentioned, I've noticed that the skill levels of the sims shown on the hiring window are sometimes...inaccurate. I maxed the fitness and charisma skills of one of my played sims (even got the little pop-up messages to confirm it.) But when I removed her from the world so that I could hire her, it suddenly only showed her in the list of potential employees as having level 2 charisma and level 3 fitness?? Is this a bug or are they just trying to force you to grow the skills of your employees?
