Still Pondering the Fate of Erik Cantrell
Hi. It's been a few days, and I still haven't settled on which direction to take my story. I've done more work on the original update, but despite numerous edits, I'm uncertain I like the direction it's going in. The other update(s) seem bland in comparison. If I choose When Fame Weighs Heavy, then it will likely be the end of my story. Not just the end of Cantrell: The Early Years, to move onto the rest, but the End, end.
I guess I just need an opinion or two on whether people are still interested in reading about this family, such as it is. I've also have more than my share of problems with this game since the anniversary patch. Happy anniversary, we've bolluxed your game. Mods that work can now cause the game to not start. Well, it starts, but it isn't on screen . . .I pull things out of the Mods folder and voila the game starts. For a time, I had both my Cantrell save and my new save together in the same Game folder. I've done this in the past without any problems. (Well, it is a major pain in the patootie to have to exit the game, rename the saves folder and the same for the Mods in order to play a different save.) I simply don't need the same mods and cc for both saves. (Although for a while it worked to combine mods into one folder.) Now, it's making things more difficult. I may just go back to renaming the Game folder itself, as in one is The Sins 4.Older while I play the other one and then renamed when I wish to play the second save.
All these things are grating on my nerves. As for Erik, I do need to know just how interested in reading his story people are. If it's tepid interest, I'll post the very last update and call it a day.
