It's the same with retail. :/ It's not considered a bug because the system deliberately allows a Sim to both have a job and own a restaurant/retail (so you can start out smaller, etc.). And it does that by not classifying the ownership as a "career". I do wish that for Sims who don't also have a career, the game would check if they own retail/restaurant and use that, the way it checks if a child lives at home. It would work for restaurants since they are individually owned, though, better than for retail, which is household owned.
Yes, it's not a bug but an issue and I didn't know where else to comment on it.
I hope they do something. I like that for example if the Sim has children instead of unemployed they say stay-at-home dad/mom
