Yes, and yes. Fortunately, my homeless shelter is a community space so all I had to do was switch to one of the sub lots. The sub lots were still intact, so I made copies of the damaged rooms and replaced them. But there is no way I'm traveling anywhere again until I repeal Sharing is Caring. :#

I had all townies from all other worlds come and vote for sharing is caring (I wanted free love) and then when I was at the community space just minding my own business, cuddling beetles, when the furniture started to disappear one after another.

And the sinks! Holy cowplant the townies and npcs really have an addiction to sinks! I think I replaced them from build mode 5 times and new npcs kept showing up and swiping them. Just marching straight to the bathroom and poof gone. And this is at the community space. My sim can’t take anything from here but townies can take whatever they want. But the worst thing is the awful invasion of townies from the other worlds. Ok fine I get it, they’re just as excited as I am to be in Port Promise ?

I don’t have the recycle trait btw, so this is definitely a bug.

It's both the recycle trait and Sharing is Caring. Both features result in sims stealing, but SIC is much worse. I guess EA didn't think about disabling this for community lots. They should have, because the way it works now is ridiculous. I wouldn't mind if the stolen items were replaced after a few days...

My recycler sim has swiped her own chair almost as soon as I finished decorating her house. She doesn't have a recycling machine and the chair wasn't in her inventory. :lol:

I noticed plants started disappearing with the hydroponic planter, so I had to report it to SimGuruNick with my save file.

Yeah as it is right now I instantly repeal this when it is voted in, because it's not okay for my sim's children to steal his kitchen counters. Like, get your own, you left this house a long enough time ago for you to buy your own.

I have spent the last 3 days building my new community spaces so I definitely do not want them to be ransacked.

I wish the voting in-game options came in two tick boxes - one to turn off naps voting and one to turn off community space voting. I would like to keep the latter enabled but not the former.

I was coming here to say I just saw my sim 'swipe' her own pets food bowl, which vanished. I checked both her and her household inventory for it. She has the recycler trait so you made sense of that for me. Odd that it gave me the message that she has successfully swiped something.

my sim was doing this all the time, usually the compute chair, but it wasn't in the family inventory, it just disappeared with a pop up saying he had succesfully swiped something. makes no sense why they would swipe there own things and not even have it to recycle.

yesterday while playing I put a grill on one of the dumpster places, and a bench set, only to have them disappear, I dont know if they just disapeared or another sim swiped them.
