@Sonia016 Therein lies the danger.
Each time that an integral feature of the series is cut and the community says, "I don't care", it just makes it easier for EA to drop something else the next time, and the next, and the next.
But if a large part of the community doesn't care, why would they NOT drop it? I mean, is not caring not enough of a sign that appearently preferences within the community have shifted? Not that I definitely agree on this, it perhaps that is how it goes.
I, too, 'do not care' - in the sense that it is no dealbreaker for me. But I would love it if it were there for those who do really want this.
Are you saying that EA knew that the community didn't like deep snow
before they dropped it? Has there been overwhelming evidence of this on the forums or on Twitter? Were there some kind of focus groups?
Which really came first? The chicken or the egg?
In this case, the timeline is clear. EA dropped the feature first and the community decided to roll with it. It wasn't the other way around. It just seems that EA keeps lucking out. No matter what they do, the community is willing to roll with it. Hence, they'll continue to keep leaving things out.
Every person has their own breaking point -- a thing that they're not willing to lose. This time, you're (collectively, not personally) fine with how things are shaking out. That's cool... for now. But what happens when it's something that
you really wanted?
Someone mentioned being ungrateful? It's not even about gratitude or the lack thereof. It's about deciding what's important to each of us, individually. It's about what each of us is willing to spend our hard-earned money on. All I know is that the more concessions that the community makes, the more that we willhave to concede and the more likely that, the next time, it will be something that is very important to you (again, the collective 'you').
But I get it. People don't tend to worry about the things that don't impact them personally. But by the time that it gets to that point, there'll be no saying no, because you've been saying yes, yes, yes all along.
