I find that as soon as you get to the higher levels of a career the amount of money you get is ridiculous. The most expensive furniture items are only a few thousand and my sim makes that every single day. Even worse, if you have more than one sim with a job the amount of money coming in is so high that I don't know what to do with it
I can replace every single furniture item with the most expensive options, and then within a very short time I'll have nothing more to buy and the thousands keep piling in. It's very OP, same as gardening, I can get tens of crops every single day from one or two plants. It's just too much. Sims either need to earn less or there needs to be more expensive things to work towards buying.
I use a mod now to lower it, it makes it feel like you're actually working for it and building up money rather than just having thousands thrown at my sims every day.
