I figure the best way to prevent it, is to cheat in the good manners trait.

Considering they're only apparently available for adults with the bad manners trait I doubt adult townies like Bella will be impacted at all.

I think it will be easy enough to nip such behaviour in the bud unless you want to encourage it in specific families.

I just don't want it on community lots - especially restaurants.

ie every Sim and his toddler and his dog (considering Pets is coming) doing it.

Seeing it a couple of times maybe, but not if it is an epidemic.

Current pre-mades and game-generated Sims aren't going to have the traits. Not sure if future game-generated Sims will get them randomly, or Sims born in game to families you don't actively play (if you have MC Command Center). You can always go and cheat the traits you want in or out; I could see maybe giving Bob Pancakes the Bad Manners trait because it would suit him, maybe Poor Emotional Control for Nancy Landgraab because she seems Angry all the time in my game. And I noticed that Sims that age up don't get traits in all the categories automatically -- when the teen aged to YA in the livestream she only had the emotional control trait. It depends on the parenting style -- you can emphasize certain behaviors, and others would be just neutral (for manners, neither good nor bad; you'll get the occasional belch or fart but it won't be a regular habit).

i'm confused because previously played sims and townies can't develop character traits. so if a sim doesn't have bad manners how will you see this on community lots? also just cause you're "pretty" doesn't make your GI system different. still gotta fart

Are unplayed households and unplayed-played households automatically getting negative character traits, due to not playing them? Or are they randomized? Or do they just completely bypass it? I wonder... :astonished:
